Peri-Colace Tablets are a combination of a stool softener and a laxative. These tablets act overnight to relieve constipation and encourage regular bowel movements. They come in 60-tablet bottles.

Directions
Adults and children over 12 can divide up the doses and take 2-4 daily. The tablet is recommended to be taken at night. Children between the ages of 6-12 should only take 1-2 tablets daily. Children between the ages of 2-6 should only take 1 tablet daily. For children under 2 years old, a physician should be consulted.

When a customer clicks on the “To Buy” button on the product website, it directs you to a list of online e-commerce retailers. Peri-Colace cannot be purchased directly from the manufacturer’s website. Amazon seems to be the best option. A 60-tablet bottle costs $23.11. Shipping is free for Amazon Prime members.
Possible Side Effects
A customer should not use Peri-Colace for more than a week. If a customer is already consuming mineral oil, they should not take Peri-Colace. If a customer is experiencing stomach pain, nausea, vomiting or sudden changes in bowel movements that last 2 or more weeks, a customer should not take Peri-Colace. If a customer is experiencing rectal bleeding or no bowel movement occurs after taking Peri-Colace, the customer should discontinue use.
Manufacturer’s Commitment
After researching both the manufacturer’s website and Amazon, we could not locate a manufacturer’s commitment for Peri-Colace.
The Peri-Colace website did not include reviews. There are 42 reviews for Peri-Colace on Amazon. This product received 4 out of 5 stars. The majority of the reviews were positive reviews that state Peri-Colace worked just fine for the customer. There were two negative reviews that said the product arrived with only 2 months until it expired. This alarmed the customers. There were a few customers that stated the product didn’t work for them at all.
The Bottom Line
For a majority of the customers who reviewed Peri-Colace, the product seems to work for them without side-effects. It seems to work quickly. On the other hand, there might be an issue with the expiration date of Peri-Colace. The manufacturer’s website was not very helpful or informative. We learned the most information about Peri-Colace from the Amazon product site. The Amazon page included pictures of the ingredients list whereas the manufacturer’s site did not. The lack of a manufacturer’s commitment is concerning. There isn’t any way for the customer to return the product or any channel in which to get an exchange or refund if they are unsatisfied. Another negative to note is the issue with the expiration date. It is not good customer service, nor is it safe, to disperse a product that is set to expire within 2 months of receiving it.
